In an effort to raise funds here at Hope Village we are putting on a fund raising day where everyone on site will get involved.
We hope that this event will take place on the last Saturday in March which is the 29th.
The whole village is keen to get involved and we are trying to come up with some great ideas of things people can do.
Charles, Ganizani and Evance have already volunteered to cycle all the way from Chikwawa to Blantyre (50km) up hill.
Chloe Gill has said that she will get a whole bucket of water thrown at her for every £50 she gets pledged and even have it captured on video and put on you tube.
Joel is considering having a sponsored eatathon and will try to break his record of eating 8 fajitas in one meal.
The children’s homes are considering having a sponsored singathon.
Paul Gill was considering shaving all his hair off but after a disaster of a haircut today this has already been done. (see facebook for photographic evidence)
and here is where we need your help…………………
1. We are looking for individuals, groups, churches or companies who will also make Saturday 29th a Hope Village fund raising day and put on some kind of event, whether it’s a car wash day, a cake sale, a party or dancing evening, a sponsored event such as skydiving etc. Would you like to help and will you commit to raising funds on that day?
2. We are looking for ideas of what we can do here at Hope Village. Is there something fun you would like to see us do and be willing to pledge money for? Please help us with ideas.
So if you want to get involved or have some ideas please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan the day.
We believe it is going to be a great day, full of fun, laughter and one that will raise much needed funds for Hope Village.
We look forward to hearing from you.
All our Love
The Hope Village Team x

This month Hope Village launched Project 200. The aim of the project is to find 200 people who are willing to commit 10 pounds a month towards the work at Hope Village.
Without these sponsors we will have to drastically reduce the work we are doing at Hope Village and so it is vital that we find people who share out heart to help the poor. We are looking for people who will give a little to change a lot.
So are you on of the 200? If so email us your home address, email address and telephone number and we will post you a direct debit form. It really is that simple.
Check out the Project 200 video and become one of the 200 today!

We have had to wait for a very long time, but at last we have power at our clinic extension and what a joy it was to see the lights coming on.
Whilst the electricity company were here Paul noticed one of the men in just a t-shirt shivering and it was a very cold day. He asked him why he was not wearing a jumper and he said that he did not own one, so we found one for him and the rest of the guys. So they gave us power and we gave them some nice warm blue jumpers!
A good result for all concerned!
