A week after we arrived back in Malawi we had our first visitors of 2012!
Jim and his son Chris joined us and were here when the rain started. We had to buy them some wellies so they could get around site without falling over and getting covered in mud, it was that wet!
It was a different kind of a week with all the rain that we had. Chris has been before but this was the first time for Jim. We all went down to the village after the flood and Jim helped by meeting with the chief and discussing what we would be doing to help the village.
Jim has been an amazing help to me, fixing my electric oven and fitting a new water filter that we got from South Africa that takes out the salt from our tap water. They also meet a couple of our babies Samson and Amy Grace. We said goodbye to Jim last week as he headed back to cold Scotland but we were so thankful for his input into our lives here and for everything he did whilst here.
Chris has been doing a football programme with the kids this week, the temperatures have been well above 40 degrees though so he has been sweltering, even a couple of the kids on one of the days stood under a tree and said it is too hot to play!
Unfortunately we haven't been able to take them on any outings due to the fuel situation but that is life at the moment in Malawi!
