Surviving against the odds

I want to tell you a story about a lady who has really touched my heart.

She was washing her clothes in the river as many people do but did not expect a crocodile to be waiting in the water.  It came up out of the water and bit into her arm, she fought it off and managed to get free.  She was in hospital for a very very long time, she lost the arm that the crocodile bit into and the remaining arm is very damaged and her hand does not function normally due to the damage.

When she returned home to her husband he left her as she was no use to him any more.  She has been begging for food since then but finding it more and more difficult to get food, sometimes not being able to eat at all.

I am so happy to say that God provided a sponsor for her and we are now helping her with food.  When I met her I was amazed at her strength in coping with what had happened to her.  I asked her what was going through her mind when she was being attacked and she said I was just thinking how am I going to manage.  Her name is Christine, please pray for her, how great would it be for God to heal that hand so it is fully functioning!!!
